Arturo Prato / Bio
Arturo Prato was born in Lima, Peru, and grew up living between his hometown and Santiago, Chile. At the age of four, while attending nursery school, Arturo was discovered by a talent agent and offered his first TV commercial. In 1998, he appeared in the Chilean TV anthology series, “El Show de Los Libros”. While in school, Arturo starred in the Spanish movie “Los Condenados” (The Condemned), and was also cast as the young lead in the period Peruvian movie, “Una Sombra al Frente,” (Crossing a Shadow). Crossing a Shadow was Peru’s entry for Best Foreign Film in the 2008 Oscar competition. After finishing school Arturo was accepted to be part of the Conservatory program at the Atlantic Theater Company in New York City. He graduated from the Atlantic in December 2012.
Arturo is currently working on several TV and film projects, including indie movie "I Remember You" and Chipotle's new Web series, "Farmed and Dangerous.” Both are scheduled to be released in 2014. He is also a co-founder (with his Atlantic peers) of Blasmo, a new theatre company, that will be making its New York debut later this year.
